What is CagriSema?
CagriSema is a dual-incretin therapy combining Semaglutide (a GLP-1 receptor agonist) and Cagrilintide (an amylin analogue). It is used for effective weight management and appetite regulation. It is administered once weekly via subcutaneous injection using this prefilled multidose pen.
What GLP is it?
CagriSema combines two hormone analogues:
– GLP-1 (Semaglutide): Enhances insulin secretion, delays gastric emptying, reduces appetite.
– Amylin Receptor Agonist (Cagrilintide): Promotes satiety, reduces food intake, complements GLP-1 activity.
Together, they act synergistically to improve metabolic regulation and weight control.
Anabolic?
CagriSema is not an anabolic agent. While it does not directly build muscle mass, it supports metabolic efficiency and fat reduction, which may enhance body composition when combined with proper exercise and nutrition.
